INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY for India International School (IIS) classes

IIS will follow the Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) decision regarding inclement weather for classes at the Jewish Community Center (JCC), Fairfax, VA. No IIS classes in the event FCPS is open, but JCC is closed.

In case of exceptions and for unique sitituations that are IIS specfic, the following steps will be taken by 8AM.

• Recorded message on IIS general phone line (571-331-8547) will be updated.
• An alert on its website will be posted.
• Group emails will be sent to the entire student/faculty/staff population.
• Phone tree for each class/subject will be activated by "room parent".
• Safety and security of our students are of utmost importance. Individual students/parents should use discretion and not come for classes in situations when their safety and security would be compromised.
