Message from President

Dear Students, Parents, Teachers, Donors, Volunteers and Friends:

Our School is now entering its 25th year, and I am pleased to report that we have finally found our own home. Our new location will be in Chantilly where we can hold most existing and new classes as well as move towards our vision of a Cultural Center which will serve our community. The property in Chantilly has a very pleasant and convenient location- close to shopping centers, restaurants, and recreation (address and direction are shown elsewhere on the website).

As you know, last year we started a branch of IIS at South Riding, which was a great success- thanks to your support and cooperation. This year we will begin classes in September at our own center in Chantilly. We will continue to have some classes on Sundays at JCC in Fairfax; but will move all classes from South Riding to Chantilly. Based on my quick analysis, the average driving distance to the Chantilly center will be less than South Riding for our community residing in Loudoun County as well as in Centerville, Manassas, Reston, Herndon, Chantilly, Sterling, Ashburn, etc. Moreover, IIS owned facility in Chantilly will give us more flexibility and options for offering new classes and programs. This will be great fun and learning experience for all of us in the long run.

Please be sure to take a look at the class schedules for Chantilly and JCC locations, and take advantage of about 100 classes to be taught by 40 outstanding faculty. There are many subjects and fun activities for children, teens, and adults. As in the past, the success of IIS in serving the community depends primarily on your support and participation.

Happiness and gratitude always go together! This is a proud moment for us so please join me in celebrating our new home as a commemoration of our 25th year of serving you and our community.
