President’s Message to Students and Parents
August 15th, 2006

Dear Students and Parents:
As you know these past few months have been hectic in trying to resettle IIS at a new location. Despite a three-fold increase in rental cost, we found GMU to be the most convenient and economical location:

  • larger classrooms for all subjects
  • more convenient for the majority of students
  • scenic environment
  • larger auditorium for our programs, etc.

Over the past couple of weeks, I have send to you details of location and direction, school calender, and fee shedule - all these are now posted on the website. In a day or two, we will post the new class schedule and room assignments. As in the past, there may be a few minor revisions after registration on 9/10/06 to accomodate the convenience of maximum number of students.
I would like to urge you (specially all the returning students) to pre-register by mailing completed registrations forms and fee payments; and in addition by informing your teachers and/or admin staff about all the courses you plan to take. This will enable teachers and admin staff to try to accomodate the timings for students taking mulriple classes.

Also on the first day of classes, pls try to come a bit early to become familiar with the new surrounding and locate the classrooms. The next year (2006-2007) will be an important milestone for your school. We are in the process of acquiring 8.4 acres land to build India Cultural and Meditation Center. This is the project we all have been pursuing for years.
All your help and support, dedication of faculty, contribution of volunteers and donors are now beginning to produce concrete results. More than ever before, your continued support at this juncture will be most crucial.

We as a group are now laying the foundation of our cultural heritage for generations to come. I therefore urge all students from last year to return in full force, and also encourage new students to join the School. All your teachers are gearing up for classes and are looking forward to welcoming you.
Sincerely,

Dhananjaya kumar
